There are multiple options when it comes to buying lubricating eye drops, sometimes called artificial tears.
We prefer non-preserved lubricating eye drops when possible. Most eye drops have a preservative, and this can cause ocular irritation. Non-preserved eye drops do not have a preservative and we find these drops to be much more soothing and can be used as often as you would like. Most preservative free vials can be re-capped and re-used. Once opened, the vials are good for the entire day.
